Ankura Associate, Disputes & Economics in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

This position supports the Ankura Disputes & Economics practice - one of seven practices focused on client delivery services across the Firm.

Our Disputes & Economics practice focuses on assisting clients with financial, accounting, and economic issues associated with complex litigation. A sample of diverse consulting engagements include consulting and preparation of expert report and testimony in International Arbitration and High Court litigation, consumer class action matters, consulting on complex forensic accounting and financial reporting matters and opining on quantum, valuation, and loss of profits.

You will work alongside experienced professionals on live and interesting client projects. You will be doing real work with real clients so be prepared to get stuck in. Above all, you’ll be supported to grow and take on more responsibilities in your work as the programme progresses. You will gain exposure to the following Disputes & Economics teams:

  • Valuation & Disputes

  • Asset Tracing & Complex Investigations

  • Fraud & Financial Crime Investigations

  • Economics & Statistics

    Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of forensic accounting engagements primarily on dispute advisory cases involving damages assessments, valuations and financial investigations.

  • Preparing and reviewing detailed financial models in Microsoft Excel, including analysing profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts in order to prepare a DCF analysis.

  • Writing reports and other deliverables for review by Managing and Senior Managing Directors.

  • Managing client expectations and job administration.

  • Actively pursuing business development opportunities.

  • Developing an external network of clients and business contacts.

    Requirements:

  • Be working towards or motivated to become a qualified chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with first time passes or CFA charter holder.

  • Graduate level qualification obtained from a leading university (minimum 2.1 degree) in Finance or Accounting.

  • Preferably have forensic accountancy or dispute resolution experience, however candidates with valuation services, audit or economics consulting backgrounds will be considered.

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with a flexible approach to problem solving.

  • Demonstrate strong report writing and oral communication skills.

  • Able to support multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Experience gained from working in practice.

  • Financial and cash flow modelling.

  • Interpretation and critical analysis of financial statements.

  • Fluent in English and Arabic is essential.

  • Travel flexible.
